How to use your microphone and camera with your server/VPS

Local Machine Setup:



Begin by ensuring that your web camera and microphone are properly connected.
Open the "Camera" app to verify that both devices are functioning correctly.
Check the functionality of your microphone by visiting https://mictests.com/ in your web browser.
Access your Camera Privacy Settings.
Activate the Desktop App Web View option. If there's a specific app you're using, make sure to enable it as well.
Similarly, for your Microphone Privacy Settings, turn on the Desktop App Web Viewer.
If you're using specific apps, ensure they're allowed for camera and microphone access.

Remote Desktop Configuration:



Launch the Remote Desktop Connection application on your local computer
Click on "Show Options" to reveal additional settings.Navigate to the "Local Resources" tab.
For the microphone, click the "Settings" button located under "Remote Audio."
Make sure to select "Record from this computer" under "Remote audio recording." Then, return to the "Local Resources" tab.
Click on "More" under "Local devices and resources."
Check the box labeled "Video capture device" and confirm by clicking "Ok."

Server Side Configuration:



On your server machine, search for "Server Manager" in the Start menu.
Within the Server Manager Dashboard, click on "Manage" situated in the upper right corner.
Choose "Role-based or feature-based installation" under "Installation Type."
Preselected servers should be listed under "Server Select." Simply proceed by clicking "Next."
Locate and select "Remote Desktop Services" under "Server Roles."
In "Roles Services," check all boxes except for "Remote Desktop Virtualization Host." Each time you check a box, the "Add Roles and Features Wizard" will appear. Click "Add Features" to continue.
Click the "Next" button to complete the wizard.
Monitor the installation progress as it may require a reboot.
After the installation is complete, reboot the VPS.
Testing the Web Camera:

To test the functionality of the web camera, open the "Camera" app on the server.
